As a conscious musician and dedicated yogi, I have traveled the world practicing in beautiful yoga studios, dirty backstage dressing rooms, hotel conference rooms and grassy fields at festivals. I’ve been inspired by dozens of teachers and have met amazing people in the yoga community in every city I’ve visited. It’s exciting to witness the exponential worldwide growth of yoga and the way it inspires people to become more present to themselves, their communities and to the planet. Often I am dashing to a yoga class between sound check and a show or after I’ve dropped my son off at school and I’ve always wanted eco-conscious clothes that both look great on the street and perform well on the mat. And that is why we created Stay Human – yoga-inspired clothing that stretches where you do, with style and messages to motivate your practice as well as bags to hold all of your essentials, including your yoga mat. To me, the name Stay Human means to hold onto one’s humanity, spirit and open-heartedness in a complex, fast-paced and sometimes crazy world. The clothing line as well as the retreat center are dedicated to these ideas. The Stay Human Retreat Center in Ubud, Bali is in the final stages of building and will soon be open for groups to come and practice yoga, meditation or just get away. Nestled along a bubbling river, the center is an idyllic tropical retreat featuring a pool, small music amphitheater, gardens, lotus ponds, and a stunning view from the authentic Balinese yoga deck overlooking the forest canopy, terraced rice fields, sacred temples and three volcanoes. Bali itself is an amazing island of wonderfully friendly people with a colorful Hindu cultural tradition, all surrounded by some of the most amazing beaches and surf spots in the world. Stay Human is also dedicated to serving our community by donating ten percent of our profits to various organizations working on the front lines for social justice everyday. We make our clothes in the most environmentally-friendly way possible, supporting local workers in the USA and Bali as well as organic fabric manufacturers.
